Which camera?

The reason why I stumbled upon the Canon site has to do with the fact I was thinking of buying a second camera.

Don't get me wrong, I love my D20. And although I would love to have a D5 for professional reasons, my D20 is enough for the moment.
But my little Digital Elph got lost, and I wanted to check on buying one to take on holidays. (Dragging around a D20 is a hassle...)
I decided not to buy the SD 70, since I bought a cute SD 60 for C. (One I can use once in while I hope.)
But I admit, I was tempted today. I do miss the convenience of a small camera, and we all know, the phone cam isn't a competitor to a digital pocket camera at all.
So I went to the shop to day to check things out.

In the shop I noticed the Canon G7. And man, it looks good.
Of course it doesn't fit your pocket like the little Elph, but this camera seems to have the convenience to have fast access to manual settings, and other iso. And it fits well in a small side bag. I can use my flash on it, which is a nice feature.
At 10Mp, i seemed like a convenient camera I could use for professional reasons.
I checked the cam on Dpreview and notice a lot of cons but also a lot of pro's.
The main complaints is the ISO which wouldn't be that good.

Anyone has experience with the camera?
Anyone can tell me something about it? Or advice me a similar cam?
(Don't mind about some extra pennies, as the state is taking them anyway otherwise...)
