New meme: my city your city.
When going through town last night, in search for a quick grab of food, I noticed the thing was closed. So I kept on walking for other spots.
And whilst doing this, I enjoyed the city I live in.
And I know we have bunch of people over here who do the same.
So why not share our city, in a blogpost? (As it is July 21, national day, it is never bad to be a little chauvinistic)
1. My favorite 'grab-a-bite': De Pallieter with the greatest shoarma's. Expensive, yet unbeatable. (At Sint Jacobs)
2. My favorite shop in town: mmm, hard one, as I definitely have a closet full of H&M, Zara, and WE, so no special clothing stores, in mind.
But that would make it 'De Poort' (Kortrijksepoortstraat), a comics store with the best music ever, so good you keep for hours in the store, looking for the latest, and not so latest, comics.
3. My favorite restaurant: another hard one. mmm, really hard one, I am staring for a minute now. I really ate well in 'Faim de Toi' in Belfortstraat.
4. My favorite 'take my friends when in town': Graslei ( classical one, but still does the trick)
5. Other 5 things to mention: Designmuseum, library, Juices + helathy burgers at juicebar near Cream (Hoogpoort), Hinkelspel for good cheese, and 'Monsters with attitude', a babyshop, as ALL my friends seem to get babies these days (so yours probably too ;) )
So tell me something about your city. (And pass on the meme if you feel like it).
My 5 persons:
-Peter F, for Brussels
-Clo, for Mechelen (or Antwerp if she prefers)
-Kerygma, for Ghent (ahja)
-Pietel, for Antwerp (or Leuven)
-John, for Ghent (with his NotSoSo, he's probably having a bunch of tips ;) )
And hmm, I am pretty interested in C's views too ;)
Extra: If posible: tag your post mycityyourcity +the name of your city (see below) for technorati so everyone can track it.

Kammenstraat in Antwerp has been changing a lot past years but it still kicks ass with plenty of alternative shops, small places to eat and bars with their own terraces. It's a must-visit street when visiting Antwerp.
It's actually also a good place to live (already live here for four years). Very busy at saturday, but very chill at sunday. Too bad Laundryday moved out of this street!
