Cabin in the woods

8-8-lundberg.jpg

I once had a girlfriend who's thought of the perfect housing was: a cabin... In Austria.
I guess in a way it added to our incompatibility...
But when I see this cabin, I almost re-think that idea :) (On the cabin that is, not on our incompatibility!)

Olle Lundberg, the remarkable architect, salvage junkie and erstwhile Ikea designer, not only lives on a ferry boat in San Francisco harbor, he has a cabin up north (Cazadero, Calif.) that we'd die for. Below are more pics of the woody, simple, airy and largely reused environment he's created for relaxing when not working with head cases like Larry Ellison...

A partner who can afford all this? Oh come on, you'd rethink about the incompatibilities... I'd rethink about mine! Is this Olle still available by any chance ;-)
