Bush in Belgium...

Bush is arriving in Belgium tonight.
He will have some talks with the NATO on Tuesday and meanwhile do some other stuff.
I don't want to talk politics, just about the fuzz that causes this visit.
Bush in Belgium means:
-Radio and television announced 3! days of traffic problems in and around Brussels.
The message is: don't go if you don't need to be there.
-No more money out of the money machines in the whole! of Belgium.
Seems that all police needs to be in Brussels and there is no more free police to accompany the money traffic.
(Note that I didn't know this and don't have any money in my pocket today...)
(It makes me wonder what will happen if all the police is in Brussels... Good moment for thieves to be busy with burgling :) )
-All big cranes (?) need to be down on the roads Bush is taking, and all work in building places needs to be stopped, because this can be a possible place for attacks.
(Let's not count the money this costs to contractors...)
-NATO became a fortress, and is protected as if a war might start.
-Bush his security crew of 800! people arrived yesterday and is staying in one of the best hotels in town. Here again the area will be difficult for traffic during several days.
(Note: it is normally a place of huge traffic...)
-Bush is not staying with his security personnel. Bush will probably stay in the American Embassy. No chance to access this area during 3 days.
-I might not be surprised that actually the highways will be closed for normal traffic, when Bush needs to be driven around, like happened in Israel with the Colin Powell visit.

Let's not think about the money this visit costs to the tax payer in this country, or to the employers, with delayed workers due to traffic jams.
To me, they should have a nice lonely place somewhere in the outskirts, where nobody is bothered when they come to have a meeting...

I need to go to Brussels to fetch my grandmother, coming back from Spain, just around the time Bush is supposed to leave.
Well. I am soooo looking forward to those jams. ;)
