Television
Whilst the internet was down at the end of the world, there was nothing to do but watch television.
Nothing as asocial as watching television (OKOK, internet is asocial too, but television is fake social...)
I don't have cable at my apartment. (hey, I have internet...)
Yesterday I was reminded why: the commercials SUCK big time.
I was listening and watching with the mouth open, and rolling my eyes to my mom: Is this it?
I mean: Is this it?? Is this all those marketing guys do? Invent such lousy ads?
I guess Netlash is right when he says 'they cannot measure the results'.
Luckily probably for the marketeers, because, well, are there any results?
A spaceship that witnesses how Becel destroys 'cholesterol'?
A guy that cuts his hear because of eating cornflakes?
People that start to jump because they drink 'Actimel'?
I forgot all the others that were even worse..
Internet ads are so much cooler...
Oh and I watched the end of the Eurovision selections -due to a hyperactive Bart Peeters and a better programming elsewhere). I agree with Tales of the Crib! Totally.

Not only can they not measure the results - they are actively avoiding ways to measure the results. For the reasons you stated above.
