Invited for preview Vista
Like some other bloggers I am invited for a preview on Vista.
'We zijn ons wel degelijk bewust dat je als fervent Mac-gebruikster waarschijnlijk nog niet met Windows Vista gewerkt hebt'
Hehe, they do check ups ;)
I am interested in Vista, because Mac Intel is dual boot-able :)))
And this information makes me very curious...
It certainly looks alike.
(I certainly want to hear about their protection against viruses. Has it become better??)
So if I find the time, I'll end up there.
Anyone else really interested? Give a yawp, I might get an extra invite ;)

Hmmm Vista, sounds interesting. I've seen some screenshots and specs, and it looks promising.
Especially the part where you can use USB-sticks for extra RAM etc.
Gonna try and score the beta somewhere, me thinks...
Posted by Charlo | June 13, 2006 11:23 PMThe recent beta (2) of Windows Vista is public so everyone can test. I downloaded it a week ago and the speed , stability and preformance are still ages behind Osx.
They got loads of work to do I think
Posted by Erlend | June 14, 2006 6:49 AM@ Charlo: you can get the beta from http://www.microsoft.be/testdrive. Besides memory sticks, you can also use for example SD cards for the ReadyBoost technology.
@ Erlend: you can't expect a beta release to be as stable and performant as a general availability release, can you. Wikipedia has more information on the development stages: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Development_stage.
