Kyle XY: interactive tv
Now it is teen drama, but the way ABC approaches their new series shows the way they see tv and internet evolving.
Kyle XY is certainly one of a kind. The pilot was released on iTunes before it was aired. It was available for free.
Next to that the show got a special website with loads of clues and fictional websites aiming at more clues.
The forum on ABC pinpoints the fact people are busy with it and are making new theories about where he comes from, only after 1 episode. (Episode 2 aired yesterday)
It shows a similar approach of Lost, but from the very beginning.
And I am pretty sure ABC is on the right track.
This is the future of tv: game and interaction. On Demand.
This is fun...
