Looking for eager Second Life players
Got a mail 2 days ago from the Belgian television program 'Koppen'.
They are looking for Second Life players who want to tell something about it.
That's you? Then contact Pascal dot seynaeve at vrt dot be.
I have an alter ego in Second Life, but not yet eager to play.
It eats my CPU, and I don't get what's the fun of virtual dancing in a virtual Studio 54 club. (My alter ego was standing, staring, and not getting it...)
I love the idea of flying though (in SL you can fly.) And I also love the fact that people are building fabulous buildings and interiors over there and you can just walk through.
Imagine Google Sketchup in SL. Nice...
I also see the potential:
-virtual art galleries to walk through: it is an easy and nice way to have an art exhibition.
To see that potential fully exploited I advice you to check out Workspaces Unlimited in Vooruit.
-Live concerts online. Enjoy a unique concert, go virtual skydiving, but sit in your living room.
(I actually hate being on the festivals because of the amount of people... Love the life aspect though, so virtual concerts are quite an alernative.)
-Talk to strangers from different places on earth. Is always enriching.
I also understand the commercial aspect, one can buy or sell stuff in SL.
(But why in hell would I buy a virtual swimming pool?)
I have to admit: I have several 'guides' to lead me through SL.
People I know in real life.
And the nice thing is, whoever you ask in SL to help you out, they will.
So go and take a look.
