Suzanne Vega and Duran Duran perform in Second Life

Vega

Last year, I already checked Second Life, but back then you had to give in your visa number and after a while it was paying.
Now the entrance to second life is free.
Checking it out now.
It is certainly gonna be the MySpace from the future, I believe...

Artists such as Duran Duran or Suzanne Vega have started giving real concerts in Second Life. Artists create themselves avatars and use streaming capabilities of Second Life to perform in front of some of the 400 000 membres of Second Life. This august 3rd, Suzanne Vega was the first major league artist to hold a live concert (see it on YouTube) in the game and broadcasted live on radio. Somebody was controlling her avatar as she sang. Duran Duran will host its own concert on its own island at the end of the month. Just today there were more than 10 live concerts planned in Second Life. source: Wired.
