Cinema Display Question
I know some amongst you have a cinema display too.
And I know it rocks -especially when seeing prison break..-
But do you guys have the same problem as me?
On my Cinema Display light grey doesn't show...
Check the screen shot: no grey border...
I have the same problem all over (it is not only this border disappearing...)
Anyone an explanation?
Update: weirdest thing: I changed the settings of the cinema diplay -like tilting the screen with 90degrees- and then returned it to the former settings and now I do see the grey border...
Really weird...

Where exactly is that grey border supposed to be?
Posted by Dirk Sabbe | October 5, 2006 9:17 AMEuh, a screenshot is not exactly the way to reveal your problem to us ...
Posted by gonzo | October 5, 2006 1:00 PMA screenshot captures what is supposed to be on your screen, not what _you see_ on your screen ...
Then again, TFT screens are known to have problems with contrasts: light becomes white, dark becomes black.
I'd suggest you try to find a calibration device for that type of display to see if you can make the grey appear.

Ine, same problem here; PC but 1920x1200 resolution on ATI Mobility X300. Seems a callibration issue indeed; let me know if you discovered the trick ;)

Posted by gonzo | October 6, 2006 12:51 PMHaving exactly the same issue (i think) on 23" Cinema Display. Your screenshot looks identical to what I'm seeing.
When I do a gradient from black to white in Photoshop, everything looks pretty good until the end where the light grey transitions to white very abruptly. The same problem is visible on any website that has a gradient that fades from grey to white. (including this one)
Please post an update if you find a solution.
