Het Volk
I live in this amazing great building (the best thing I did in 2006 was moving into this new apartment -the second best thing was buying another one-)
Het Volk used to host the presses of the Flemish newspaper, was dismantled and a living complex got here instead. Resulting in 145 new apartments, with loads of light.
Today there was a 'new years drink' for the inhabitants. Apparently there will be some activities in 2007, starting with a cello concert in the underground car park in March, and continued in May with a party for the neighbors (and a projection of a porn movie from the 20's :) )

Too bad they didn't invite the "neighbourhood" as well. Speaking of which, there is an official City drink next saturday for Heirniss-Macharis in the Lousbergparkje. I heard some neighbours are planning a small action to get the attention of some of the "officials" that will be there, so lots of photo/blogging opportunities if you bring your camera...
