Spass

Spass-1

This Saturday(too eager) February 10th, in Ghent, hopefully as good as my last party.
Spass. The whole gang-bang will be there.
And it is straight friendly ;)

The day after after

Ok, now the pain arrives...
All my muscles hurt like hell, and so does my back.
I realized it would be like this when the security guy at the VIP Atomium ball said 'this one keeps on doing stairs'
Yep, I was the photographer, having to report everything.
And since there is 1 elevator in the Atomium, and like what? 1000 people needing to get up and down, using the elevator was kind of 'wasting time waiting'

But it was worth the effort.
I had fun that day, seeing the ever gentle Maurice Van Engelen, while soundchecking, seeing the break dance guys stretching their muscles (something I definitely would have done if I had the energy left late at night), chitchatting with Michiel, meeting up with the bloggers, sipping some champie, dancing on some good music, and most of all, working.

I do love my job...

Dim your lights

I didn't participate in the event last night to dim the lights.
Because I think it is useless.

I am a heavy supporter of ecological living, and us having saving lamps and no heating until the evening (really the apartment warms itself during day, even in these 'cold' months). Heck, me not having a car as long as I don't need one, is because of that belief.

You'd say I would have to support an event like last night.
I don't believe people who dim the light for 5 minutes and then light them again, are willing to change the world.
Heck my neighbors dimmed their light, but left the heavy flatscreen plasma tv on. And this morning at 9 it was on again.

I don't see people giving up their luxury. I don't see myself giving up my extra electricity plugs. So why would I fake it by dimming the light?

I agree with Eskimokaka: don't give fees, just disallow us to use normal lamps. Leave us no choice but saving lamps. Changing the lamps in your house saves 95% of energy. Each day... Talk about helping the environment...
(Not even mentioning the savings on your electricity bill!)

"And if I don't meet you no more in this world..."

Wyn Evans Dont Be Late Jan

Although Cerith Wyn Evans concentrates his efforts on work in film and video, it is his art installations that say a lot with very little. Wyn Evans works well with words that reference history, philosophy and literature (among other areas) and uses media such as neon lights to bring these ideas to life. The harsh light brings out the poetry of the words, giving them the chance to truly stand out. The ideas become etched on our minds. Most of Wyn Evans’ pieces are in English, but In Girum Imus Nocte et Consumimur Igni is a Latin palindrome meaning 'We go round and round in the night and we are consumed by fire' and indeed, the artist has created a piece that takes place in the round.

Aldebaran/Betelgeuze -> Antares

Most of my avid readers know that I kind of collect comics.
My absolute favorite of all times is Aldeberan and Betelgeuze.

Series 3 'Antares' is announced and will be released in April (in French)

Antares

Meanwhile this site might ease the waiting...
I am totally lost: finally all the weird animals listed.

FlickrExport for Aperture

Logoaperture20060925
Since I started testing Aperture for Mac, I am totally fond of it.

It enhances my workflow with 300%.
Most of us photographers don't need all the functionality of Photoshop to enhance an image.
Checking the colors, and sharpness is more than enough in most cases.
And a fast overview to delete the bad ones.

It works pretty fast (though sometimes it seems to freeze the system for a while)
The export functions are numerous, but I was very pleased to read there is a FlickrExport for Aperture.
In installed it, and yesterday, after only 2 try-outs, I bought it: it is fabulous: the sharpening is perfect (I did some test in the past with other exporters which turned out to be blurry), it allows you to batch upload, assign keywords in batch, add it to an existing or even a new set.
In fact it allows me to update my Flickr without even entering Flickr.
(Somehow I don't like the admin of Flickr, it is way to much of an effort. (I have this with any blog, btw))

Read: I love it.
Slowly slowly I start to like this new (well working) work-flow.
In the past opening digital images was a hassle: first trying to get an overview, with thumbnails not revealing anything, opening them one by one on in one or another program. Then adjusting them in Photoshop, since iPhoto was not really 'well', thus renaming all the files in 'YAP' (yet another program')

Today, I open in Aperture, adjust, upload to Flickr, export the masters or the derives. Rename them.
Burn them on a DVD.
I can even make a quite simple iDVD.
And it just works...

Gizmo for N80 IE

Nokia-N80-Home
I am a huge fan of Skype.

I mean it...
But they don't come up with the Symbian relase for my mobile.
Gizmoproject did!
They released a version for the Nokia N80 Internet Edition.

I have a N80.
Via software updater it would become a N80ie.
Thus the difficult procedure of updating driver software started:
I need a pc (which I have of course), I install PC Suite, I install the latest 'software updater for Nokia',
I try to connect my Nokia...
Nothing happens.
I restart the whole thing.
Yet nothing works.
I'll need to reinstall the whole suite.
I am already busy for 40 minutes.
I give up.

Grubml.
Avid PC and Nokia lovers with installed and working software living in the neighborhood: you are welcome for coffee and helping me out :)
I admit: I am just stupid when it comes to this stuff (C. will remember me trying to install a wifi stick on a pc: I suck)

Abstract

It is possible to influence osteoblast activity by the application of mechanical forces. There is potential in using these forces for tissue engineering applications in that cell matrix production may be upregulated, resulting in a functional tissue engineered construct created in a shorter culture time. We have been developing a novel technique for applying mechanical forces directly to the cell with the use of magnetic particles. Particles attached to the cell membrane can be manipulated using an external magnetic field thus applying forces in the piconewton range. We have previously demonstrated that primary human osteoblasts respond to this type of stimulus by upregulating bone related gene expression and producing mineralized matrix at early time points. In this paper we discuss the optimization of this technique by presenting data on the effects of this type of force on osteoblast proliferation, phagocytosis and also the potential use of this technique in developing 3D tissue engineered constructs.

Talking about 'Abstract'...
Couldn't be more abstract than this I guess.
Though... actually I do know few persons that definitely would be able to make it sound even more 'off the world' than this..

Belgian Identity

It's true, Belgians lack a 'Belgian Identity'
When you talk about Brits, you immediately think of 'walking the line' and hats, the French have their 'baret' and bread and cheese, the Dutch their Gouda and the blond girl in weird dress, and of course the windmills.
I can sum up some more like that.
But what do the Belgians have?

We are said to be stupid. They know us because of the genocide law, because they attacked Sharon and Bush with it. We're a kingdom. And there is a dispute between Walloons and Flanders. Oh and Brussels is the capital.
There is good chocolate and loads of beer.
Commonly that's what friend abroad know to tell, if they know anything to tell.
Further-on little know about Belgium or its beauty.
I convinced many friends abroad to come over, and they were all stunned about the beauty squeezed between France, Germany and the Netherlands.

If there's one thing we all know, it's the Atomium.
Our national monument. The French have their big fallus, we have this weird set of balls...
After its renovation it is as shiny as in 1958. The furniture is renewed, and in any way you cannot look next to it when seeing the skyline of Brussels.

The perfect export product for a Belgian.
Although...
We are not allowed to publish any pictures of it without paying.
Unless it is for a news fact.

On all buildings there is copyright, and thus you need to pay the owner for the copyright.
Not many architects check this, or bother to put SABAM/or SOFAM on the matter.
But the Atomium does, in fact, it is probably one of the largest incomes of the architect, André Waterkeyn: an estimated 30.000 euro a year.
When you use a picture online, SABAM might find you and request 91,65 euro per photo per month...
That's an awful lot if you ask me...

For a project, I am checking on the use of an image of the Atomium.
What can be used and what not. A drawing is allowed or not?

In any case I think it is a pity. When thinking about a visual for Belgium, we all think of the Atomium.
But we don't use it since it costs too much.
Such an image would strengthen the 'looks and impressions' and the 'recognition' of Belgium, whereas now, we just stay what we are: ' a tiny country without a real vision/image'...

Btw, I am pretty happy with the recent evolution, it is impossible to control the flow of images on the web. I hope they drawn in work tracking those images ;)
In any case, the internet calls for a redefinition on copyright in any sense.

Update:
In a phonecall with Sabam:
'How come cityscapes of the Empire State Building are allowed and cityscapes of Brussels with Atomium are not?'
'Because the Atomium was submitted for copyright and I don't know about those other buildings..'
'Then I guess we won't use THE atomium in our site. It wil become simply an atom...'

Wanderer

What Your Soul Really Looks Like
You are a wanderer. You constantly long for a new adventure, challenge, or eve a completely different life.

You are a grounded person, but you also leave room for imagination and dreams. You feet may be on the ground, but you're head is in the clouds.

You see yourself with pretty objective eyes. How you view yourself is almost exactly how other people view you.

Your near future is likely to be filled with great successes and accomplishments. You just need to figure out how to get there.

For you, love is all about caring and comfort. You couldn't fall in love with someone you didn't trust.

Michelle Kaufman

Breezemain
I very often had the idea: I can do this better (hey, that's just me...) so I tried it.

(And failed several times ;) )
But I would never have the nerve of Michelle Kaufman: she didn't find the house she wanted, so she kind of started her own 'prefab' design, had it produced and decided to sell more of it.
Wow...

If you are interested in prefab (like me) you need to listen to this podcast
I'm fond of prefabs (google this site for prefab and you'll see...) and I do not understand Belgium had no real prefab producers (except for the awful traditional stuff.)
There should be a market for it, since the costs are getting higher and possibilities are endless with the new materials.
No Belgian Michelle Kaufman in the neighborhood?

The Readers Show

By accident I stumbled upon an invitation to the 'Lezersshow', an initiative of Ontroerend Goed.
In their first episode Peter Verhelst would speak.
Since I am amazingly moved by his wonderful sentences in 'Memoires van een Luipaard' I decided to buy 2 tickets on the spot. (NTGent allows you to buy online, jihaa)
So yesterday, me and my victim (;)) went to the NTGent.
I have to admit, I was a bit afraid of the combination 'Verhelst' 'Blancquaert', but it turned out to be OK.
The whole concept made me think of the salons of the 20's, and of the evenings we organized while being at the academy: inviting artists to talk about their work in an informal way.
At the 'Lezersshow' there was a concept behind it, with music and jingles (our evenings were just plain talking with a drink afterwards).
I guess that's the remark I had: there was no need for the extra stuff, for the jingles: the strength lies in the content. In what Peter said, in the song Lieve sung. In the amazing poem Wim Opbrouck performed.
I was surprised by Chris Van Camp, the columnist, who talked about Johan Anthierens. And admitted, I think, next time in the bookshop, I'll buy something from Anthierens.
I was moved by the story of Peter Verhelst's first kiss.
And the vulnerability that spoke out of many that night.
That actually it is OK to be vulnerable once in a while.
That it suits us.

The next Lezersshow is on March 30, I am already checking if there are tickets left.

Nür Spass

Sunday, 8PM, and I am a wreck.
I guess age does have an influence on recuperation.
And on the amount of alcohol one can absorb without getting too drunk.
(Though I was merely tipsy, as (almost) always ;), -grand-ma reads this blog...- )

The former does describe the amount of spass on Spass.
I have to admit: a party at Sioux never equals "good" in my mind. But again, I was wrong.
Frau Genau and Lory Glory turned the tables upside down.
I couldn't help keep on dancing.
(And since I had to take pictures: take pictures.
Question: How come gay cutest tend to pose for camera's, while handsome and not so handsome dykes tend to watch rather angry at the camera? Is it me?)

Can't wait to hear the where and what-abouts of the next Trouble.
Now excuse me, this late twenty-something is going K.O for another 9 hours...

My results:

If everyone lived like you we'd need 2.6 planets.

My footprint is 4.6
The average for Belgium is 6.7 (hehe, not doing so bad after all.)
Worldwide there exist 1.8 biologically productive global hectares.

Pay online

My grandmother is nagging me: she wants to buy on eBay, or online in the States.
(She says it is because the fabrics for patchwork are a lot cheaper in the States, but I think it is because her friends buy online and she wants to be able to do the same.)

She doesn't want to buy with Visa. ('I don't trust it...')
So any tips on 'one time visa cards' or alike are very welcome.
(I tried to set her up with a PayPal account but as she says: I checked these sites profoundly and most of them don't have PayPal. So I don't need it.)

While talking about usability towards 'senior surfers': she would be an avid buyer on Proxis.be, but in her words 'It's rubbish, it is not clear at all, and finding where a product is when bought is very hard.'
The site isn't useful at all, according to her opinion.
My remark: I think a lot of revenue is lost on sites that aim for sales but who's selling process is way to hard to fulfill.
Worth a follow up I believe.

She always wondered why I haven't got any curtains.

My granddad's answer

Img 5535

Quite a while ago (like a year or so) my grand-parents decided they wanted to have a digital cam.
I got rid of my old one (and bought myself a smaller and faster one) and they ended up with a pretty nifty camera. It was/is perfect for their needs.
I took my granddad a while before he got the concept of 'emptying a card and re-use it + storing pictures on a HD' but by now he's pretty good in taking pictures and managing them on his desktop.
In fact, I think he might be better in working with Picasa than my mom (sorry mom, but it's true...)

I think he loves it. When at friends, he takes the pictures and afterwards he sends them through email.
He pictures the cat and sends the whole family a series of funny shots.
Or he even goes artistic and takes a macro-shot of the flowers in his garden.

Yesterday I was talking about this with my neighbor, and this morning around 8, I get this series of pictures of sunrise, as an answer on my picture yesterday.

Maybe the internet gets us less out of our chair, but it doesn't prevent our social life.
Actually sometimes I think it gets us more in touch and invents new ways of communicating.

Ikea recall

Recall Parodi 279X279-1

While surfing on Ikea I see a recall message.
I have such a vase (but I didn't buy it at Ikea.)
Now the message is really funny.

Hmmmmm...
Ok, so what do you do?
Leave the vase where it is, or check if it is that vase, thus risking it will break in your face...
Lol.

The Most Pointless Summit ever.

JRL101_wa.jpg

The official version:

US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice said Israeli and Palestinian leaders reaffirmed a commitment to peace at talks she hosted on Monday and she would return to the region soon.

Now what do you think really happened in that room?

(Condoleeza Rice, Ehud Olmert, and Abu Mazen enter.)

Rice: Welcome to our three-way summit. You are here. You are sitting down in the same room. What a great accomplishment. Now, let's get this out of the way. Why can't you guys all just get along? Let's make some peace.

Imagine Cup

Header Logo
Microsoft Announces Kickoff to Imagine Cup 2007, World’s Premier Student Technology Competition

Global competition invites students to apply technology and artistic talents to enable a better education for all.

Imagine a world where technology enables the blind to overcome obstacles; a world where mobile devices actively link doctors with their patients; a world where students explore, engage and interact regardless of geography. More than 65,000 students from 100 countries competed in Microsoft Corp.’s Imagine Cup 2006 competition, using their technology skills and talent to address these and many other health issues.

This year, Microsoft is calling on young programmers, artists and technologists around the world to bring their ideas to life in nine categories, each catering to a different talent

and then it becomes interesting:

• Digital arts:
Photography. Through a photo essay format, students are challenged to communicate a story about education using only photos as the communication medium.
Short film. This invitational highlights the art and science of telling a story. Students are challenged to share a perspective on the Imagine Cup theme and express themselves in the digital media of film. From concept and storyboard through shooting footage and editing, the participants must be able to create a film that moves the audience while conveying its strong purpose and meaning.
Interface design. Creativity and usability are the necessary ingredients of a well-designed user interface, one that contributes to a successful piece of software or Web application. This invitational challenges designers all over the world to create functional, compelling and forward-thinking user interfaces. Competitors have a unique opportunity to envision an application, connect it to the Imagine Cup theme, and show the world how their skills bring it to life.

Those interested in participating in Imagine Cup 2007 or seeking additional information can visit http://www.imaginecup.com to register and review full entry requirements for each invitational.

Gebarentaal

Film
For those amongst you who are eager viewers of the L Word, and truly interested in sign language (and hot deaf chicks): here's a Belgian site that can help you out.
Don't forget, sign language differs in different countries, so you might not understand Bette anyway...
And don't expect to learn it by a glance on the site, like Bette, coz, you know, that's only in the movies where people never look bad, and don't seem to pee either...

Oh, the designer of the Belgian site is (or used to be) an avid reader of this blog, so questions related to the subject can be posted in the comments.

Sex, lies and Andy

Img.Pl I always have been a huge fan of Andy Warhol, especially after seeing some video documentaries on his life and work.

Andy Warhol was pronounced dead at 6:21 am on February 22, 1987. He was 58 years old. An open-casket ceremony was held at Thomas P. Kunsak Funeral Home in Pittsburgh. He was wearing a black cashmere suit, colorful paisley tie, a platinum wig, and sunglasses. He was holding a small prayer book and a red rose... The coffin was covered with white roses and asparagus ferns… Before the casket was lowered, Paige Powell dropped a copy of Interview magazine, an Interview t-shirt, and a bottle of Estée Lauder perfume into the grave.
20 years later, the Beurschouwburg celebrates the anniversary of his death by scheduling unordinary events during 3 days in a row to illustrate his life.

To kick off these 3 days, don't miss the DJ set of STIJN with a musical walk within Warhol imaginary world on Feb 22 at 22.00.

At Beursschouwburg Brussels.
I'll try to drop by...

Kristin Hersh

My most favorite song when 16 was 'Your Ghost' from Kristin Hersh.
I slowed with my first girlfriend endlessly while on repeat.
Kristin Hersh had these fabulous songs, amazing texts. My mom said she whined...
I could leave the CD for hours. Try to unravel the texts into something I thought I understood.

Years later Throwing Muses still fills my Last.FM. I still get moved by Kristin's whining. And I am still trying to understand her flood of words.
I was impressed some years ago by her 'silent fan releases online' allowing fans to download versions of songs. A good way to introduce unique music as an alternative to the starting download scene on the internet .

Kristin didn't disappear... She merely was out of our eyes.
And recently she's back:
Today Kristin has a blog, YouTube has a series of her songs, and, she even has a videocontest on YouTube: Learn to sing like a star videocontest

Moreover, she's coming to Gent, to the Handelsbeurs.
I might end up there :)

*Listen to some new songs on MySpace (she's soooo web 2.0 ;) )

Fancy a Recruitment Chat?

From MarketingBlog.eu:

Vacature, one of Belgium's largest recruitment media (magazine + website) has just launched a 'chat bot', which enables anyone to make contact with its job database by adding a contact (carrierrecoach@vacature.com) to a Windows Live Messenger account. You still have to register with Vacacture, but afterwards you will automatically get links to relevant job offers based on your chat conversation.

I think that's a great idea, Live Messenger is widely popular in Belgium, and something like this can only lower the threshold for turning 'passive' into 'active' job seekers.

I have to say I'd think it is kind of strange to chitchat with a possible company.
I guess this evolution is just part of the current time spirit.
But I really cannot imagine an msn conversation with my future boss.
Or as a boss, to chat with a possible recruit without really seeing him/her.
Whilst working for Randstad, I learned that you judge the person in front of you in the first 5 seconds (this is a official research result) and the rest of the conversation is about checking if your first judgement is right.
I cannot imagine doing a first judgement based upon a chat conversation.

Naah, I am not convinced. Not convinced at all...

Update: OK OK I misunderstood. This is a chat BOT, so apparently the bot remembers your preferences and updates you when new jobs based upon your query are available.
Sounds a lot cooler than the msn chat.
Thanks Kristiaan for pointing that out to an audience of 250 people... ;P

IAB

Yesterday I was invited to the IAB meeting in Brussels, with as main subject (what else these days?) 'blogging'.
I didn't expect to know a whole lot of people, but I should have known: where the subject 'bloggers' pops up, bloggers appear out of nowhere ;)

The presentations didn't give me new insights, but I reckon some people in the audience heard some new stuff (although I really wonder, being slapped around the ears for one year with buzzwords like blogging, podcasting, rss,..., they should know what it is all about by now.)
I enjoyed some new links (like the Ikea Hacker Blog: where you assemble your ikea furniture by NOT following the manual) and I still love to see other ones perspective on the matter.

Janina3 Small
Anyhow, while some years ago, I would have hated the networking event, by now, I think it is the far more interesting part of the evening.

Again I met some new faces, and I enjoyed exchanging ideas with the old ones.

I chitchatted with Kris Hoet about the lovely Mrs Dewey (alias Papi in the L Word)
Apparently Mrs Dewey has some easter eggs laid around.
The one I really like: 'take of your clothes', and 'how to make a bomb'
Also funny is 'Janina Gavankar ' her real name.

You can find more easter eggs here

(Tx Kris for pointing these ones out. -feeding your technorati in exchange ;)-)

Help.

Last night I helped iBert out configuring his Ecto account.
Now there is one thing I learned during the years in solving app problems: opening help.
Really. I very often get telephone calls from people asking something 'it doesn't work, I cannot figure it out'.
More than often I do not know the answer myself, but just open the help tab of the program, and find a solution within minutes.
-if the help button doesn't help, in many cases the 'support' section of a site does the trick.-

( Ok, each time that stupid Office Paperclip pops up, I curse it (and if I could I'd erase it forever), but the help tab is a real timesaver in many situations.
You should try it once ;) )

I wonder if that is because we refuse to be 'helped out' by a machine. Or we think we an do it better.
I think marketeers should 're-think' the help button. Maybe it should be named 'support' which sounds more 'advanced' than 'help' as in 'help me I am drawning' ;)

A library at your fingertips

Lately I was chatting a lot with Sar, and a few times she kind of wrote 'How can you know this, or find it so fast', adding some smilies with an open mouth.

I had a similar experience few years back, whilst chatting with John.
I was stunned to read his 'knowledge'. How could he know so much...
I couldn't help thinking 'This guy is sitting in a library or what'.
And then suddenly the coin fell...

We are all sitting in a huge library, and things are just fingertips away.
We google it and within minutes Wikipedia or other related entries find their way into your browser and thus into your mind.

Knowledge is no longer our biggest concern, how to find the knowledge is the bigger issue. And the struggle of the fittest has changed into the struggle of the one that can find.
But also into 'the one that can situate it', because the internet isn't neutral, and you have to be able to 'process' the data you get, into valuable information.

The moment my coin fell, some years ago, I started seeing things differently.
Search in a different way, and get more info to me, instead of me looking for the information.

Lately I tend to be surrounded with people that do the same, but I still see a lot of people who's 'coin didn't fall yet', who have the resources in front of them, but still don't know how to handle the tools.

So when you are reading this little post, think about it: how do you surf?

Lazy Sunday Tunes

It's a lazy Sunday, I am kind of sick and lying in the sofa.
iTunes is on, and Xerxes is spinning his tables. I love his tunes.
His music can be found on his website (for free!), but I give a preview here.

Meg Stuart / Damaged Goods

692

Meg Stuart dances in Gent: Damaged Goods was never shown here before.

The story of Meg Stuart is rather interesting: Stuart originates from NYC where she got an BFA in Dance at the NY University.
Back in '91 'Het Stuc' in Leuven invited her to make a full length production 'Disfigure Study' and thus launched her career. She got recognition in Belgium and abroad, enabling her to start Damaged Goods.
Damaged Goods is supported by the Department of Flanders and the Flemish Community Commission.

Meg Stuart worked with Lawrence Malstaf (remember this installation I was so fond of)

I got you interested in the work? Order your tickets at Vooruit.

(There are many reasons to be happy living in Ghent/Belgium. I always ponder about it when walking the city and seeing the amazing cityscape of Gent. It's a free city, and just plain beautiful. But the cultural scene of Belgium is so rich. We just tend to forget it...)

Chat slang

I tend to use some abbreviations when chatting. And I make spelling mistakes when chatting too fast, but I don't have the 'new chat slang' yet.

My grandfather on the other hand...
"anders geen nuus??
Ine Dehandschutter 25/02/07 10:48
ik ben ziek
Alfons Coppens 25/02/07 10:48
wat hedde ??"

and
"maar kan ik da niet van in t begin van da blad laten afdrukken zodat ik er twee op da papier krijg ??"

Notice the 'speaking' is turned into 'written' with a similar pronunciation.
It is funny to see how they all do it: youngsters and seniors. (and inbetween)

Hat tip: A useful library of internet slang words when you don't get some abbrevs

At Batibouw

My dad designs kitchen, and as long as I know it, I went to Batibouw. One week a year we were 'released' in the palaces at Heysel.
The last years, I kind of accept the question of my dad helping him out.
Coz, it has to be said, though it isn't my profession and it will never be, I do know a lot about kitchens by now.

I accepted this year, but the condition was internet would be available. The fair is full of people, but they don't always come to visit your thing. And thus, actually, a day at Batibouw, turns out to be a long day...

I arrived at 10, after a long trip, where apparently everybody seemed to go to Heysel, leaving no free seats at the train, nor metro.
(O the horror, how I would have loved to stay in the warm bed this morning...)

Anyhooo, I arrive, open up the computer and there it pops up: 'wifi'
And then the following message:

Batibouwbastards

I repeat for those who cannot read and because of total agony:
3 euros for 15 minutes!
3 euros for 15 minutes!!!
And then after the first 15 minutes .20 euro/minute.
With a maximum of 120 minutes.

Ok let's count: that would make 24 euro for 2 hours.
Let's say you would skip the 120 minutes limit and you want to be online for 6 hours, which is reasonable in my case, knowing I am a webdesigner.
That's 72 euros...

If there would have been Telenet Hotspot, that would have cost me zero...

F* Batibouw Bastards...
