IAB
Yesterday I was invited to the IAB meeting in Brussels, with as main subject (what else these days?) 'blogging'.
I didn't expect to know a whole lot of people, but I should have known: where the subject 'bloggers' pops up, bloggers appear out of nowhere ;)
The presentations didn't give me new insights, but I reckon some people in the audience heard some new stuff (although I really wonder, being slapped around the ears for one year with buzzwords like blogging, podcasting, rss,..., they should know what it is all about by now.)
I enjoyed some new links (like the Ikea Hacker Blog: where you assemble your ikea furniture by NOT following the manual) and I still love to see other ones perspective on the matter.
Anyhow, while some years ago, I would have hated the networking event, by now, I think it is the far more interesting part of the evening.
Again I met some new faces, and I enjoyed exchanging ideas with the old ones.
I chitchatted with Kris Hoet about the lovely Mrs Dewey (alias Papi in the L Word)
Apparently Mrs Dewey has some easter eggs laid around.
The one I really like: 'take of your clothes', and 'how to make a bomb'
Also funny is 'Janina Gavankar ' her real name.
You can find more easter eggs here
(Tx Kris for pointing these ones out. -feeding your technorati in exchange ;)-)

Was planning to attend the event too (I did before), but because it's in the middle of nowhere (at least two trains from Antwerp >1h30) I've sent my cat :)
There is a serious need of a carpool site in Belgium!
