Meg Stuart / Damaged Goods

692

Meg Stuart dances in Gent: Damaged Goods was never shown here before.

The story of Meg Stuart is rather interesting: Stuart originates from NYC where she got an BFA in Dance at the NY University.
Back in '91 'Het Stuc' in Leuven invited her to make a full length production 'Disfigure Study' and thus launched her career. She got recognition in Belgium and abroad, enabling her to start Damaged Goods.
Damaged Goods is supported by the Department of Flanders and the Flemish Community Commission.

Meg Stuart worked with Lawrence Malstaf (remember this installation I was so fond of)

I got you interested in the work? Order your tickets at Vooruit.

(There are many reasons to be happy living in Ghent/Belgium. I always ponder about it when walking the city and seeing the amazing cityscape of Gent. It's a free city, and just plain beautiful. But the cultural scene of Belgium is so rich. We just tend to forget it...)

Being ill seems to cause some absent-minded mistakes.. ;) It's BLESSED, the new damaged goods production, that has never been shown in Belgium before.
