Taxes on wifi

Get this. It must be Belgian stupidity, but Sint-Lambrechts-Woluwe is about to become the first city that taxes for wifi.
According to a new rule they are about to vote, from 2007 til 2011 there will be a yearly tax for 'relais antennas for mobile telephony and for antennas for electronic distributing of information'
The first is not new, but the latter...
Strictly speaking wifi antennas are 'antennas for electronic distributing of information'

Now, I don't know how much they'll charge, but Stefan Ector mentions a number of 4000 euro/year.
While our eco-tax already proved to be a strange measure, charging wifi-antennas even seems weirder...

More can be read on Stefan Ector's site.

F*cking hell I'm sick of all those taxes. If you pay the electricity bill (mine was 1500 euros) you even pay extra taxes for the city. Today I received a tax bill for the province. A week ago a bill for Zorgkas. I'm seriously considering moving to the States where you get chances, where innovation is encouraged and customer service is the best.
