On 21 April, the Flemish Radio Orchestra (Vlaams Radio Orkest) will perform Frames, a concert immersing the audience in a world of unexpected images and sounds. On the programme: Eric Satie’s ‘film music’ for René Clair’s film Entr'acte (1924), the ethereal and highly captivating Celloconcerto by Morton Feldman and Déserts, Edgard Varèses insistent orchestral work for brass, percussion and electronics. 40 years later (1994), Bill Viola made an impressive video film as an additional visual score for a live performance.
